Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

LeafLulu is operated by MELBMARKETING PTY LTD (ABN 98 690 946 055), an Australian company. In this policy, “LeafLulu”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to MELBMARKETING PTY LTD.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the LeafLulu mobile app version 1.0 and these LeafLulu privacy and support pages. It does not control an app or service you independently choose from your device's system share sheet. That destination's own privacy policy applies after you share with it.

3. Information kept on your device

Depending on how you use LeafLulu, the app may store:

• plant type, nickname, environment, light, drainage, routine, and care preferences;
• daily tasks, observations, notes, actions, dates, challenge progress, badges, streaks, non-cash Growth points, and Care score;
• plant photos you take or choose and the private growth-journal entries linked to them;
• an optional profile nickname and your chosen Lulu avatar or locally processed avatar photo;
• local reminder preferences and notification identifiers;
• a local supplies-planning list; and
• language, sound, haptic, and display preferences.

These items are processed in the app's private storage. LeafLulu 1.0 does not upload them to a server operated by us or create a cloud account for them.

Me → Edit profile is optional. If you choose an avatar photo, LeafLulu crops its center to a square, resizes it, and re-encodes it as JPEG on your device without retaining the original photo metadata in your profile. Save keeps the nickname and avatar in separate local profile storage; Cancel discards the draft. Your profile is not uploaded, used for AI analysis, automatically shared, or included in plant growth cards.

4. Device permissions and features

Camera and photo choice

LeafLulu asks for camera permission only when you tap Take photo. On iOS, Choose photo uses Apple's system photo picker, which gives LeafLulu only the image you select and does not request broad Photo Library permission. A selected plant photo is copied into private temporary app storage. If you save its journal entry, it moves into the app's private documents area. Unsaved temporary copies are removed as part of the app's cleanup process. Upload photo in the profile editor also opens the system picker; despite its label, it processes the photo locally and saves the re-encoded avatar in local profile storage, separate from plant-photo documents. The app does not request microphone access.

Notifications

If you enable a plant reminder, LeafLulu asks for notification permission and schedules the reminder locally on your device. LeafLulu 1.0 does not use remote push notifications and does not upload your reminder schedule or workplace location.

System sharing

Sharing is optional. LeafLulu prepares the locally generated growth card or text only after you tap Share. Your operating system sends it to another app only if you complete a destination action in the system share sheet. We do not select the recipient, learn who received it, or treat opening or closing the share sheet as proof that you published it. Sharing does not affect earned Growth points or Care score.

Sound and haptics

Optional sounds and vibration feedback run on your device. They do not send usage information to us and can be turned off in the app.

5. Information the app does not collect

In the offline LeafLulu 1.0 release, we do not receive through the app:

• your plant records, photos, optional profile nickname or avatar, notes, reminders, or supplies plan;
• your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location;
• advertising identifiers, tracking data, analytics, or browsing history;
• payment, purchase, delivery, or subscription information; or
• questions or images for AI analysis.

The app has no public community, messaging, checkout, subscription, or live AI service in this release.

6. When you contact support

If you email us, we receive the address you use and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond, diagnose the issue, maintain appropriate business records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Please do not send passwords, verification codes, payment details, government identifiers, or unrelated sensitive information.

We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, then delete or de-identify it where practicable, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements. Our email and web-hosting providers may process the limited information described here to deliver and secure their services under their applicable service terms and privacy policies. An app you independently choose in the system share sheet is not a recipient selected by us; its own privacy policy applies after you share with it.

7. These public web pages

The LeafLulu policy-page source does not set advertising cookies, contain a contact form, or load third-party analytics. When you visit, normal internet infrastructure and our hosting provider may process technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time for delivery, reliability, and security. The hosting infrastructure may also use security cookies and automated abuse protection. That processing is separate from the data behavior of the LeafLulu app.

8. Retention, deletion, and backups

Local records remain until you remove them, use Me → Clear all local data (including photos), or uninstall the app. The clear-data action removes plant records, app-private plant photos, the optional nickname and avatar in local profile storage, tasks, challenges, supplies plans, and scheduled reminders, while retaining only your language preference. Because version 1.0 has no online account or developer-operated cloud copy, there is no server account for us to delete.

Your operating system may include app data in a device or iCloud backup according to your Apple Account and system settings. We do not receive or control those backups. Manage them through your device or platform account settings.

9. Security

LeafLulu uses app-private device storage and avoids a developer-operated account or cloud database in this release. Your device passcode, operating-system security, backup settings, and the security of apps you choose for sharing also affect protection. No storage method is completely secure, so keep your device and operating system updated.

10. Children

LeafLulu 1.0 does not ask users to create an account and does not send local nicknames, avatars, or plant records to us. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support email, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

11. Your choices and privacy rights

You control the app's permissions through your device settings and can clear its local data in the app. If you contact support, you may ask us to access or correct personal information we hold about that correspondence, subject to applicable law and lawful exceptions. Email your request to info@melbmarketing.com. We may need reasonable information to verify and action the request.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when LeafLulu's features or legal obligations change. We will publish the updated policy here and revise the effective date. Features such as accounts, cloud sync, public community posts, purchases, subscriptions, or live AI analysis will require a new privacy review before release.
