- Choose where your plant grows and describe its light, drainage, and routine.
- Add a recommended plant or choose the closest available plant type.
- Use Grow to observe the real leaves and soil before taking any care action.
- Use Journal to add a private photo and note.
- Optionally enable a separate local reminder for each plant.
What version 1.0 includes
LeafLulu 1.0 is a local-first app with no account or cloud sync. It includes plant-care steps, a private photo journal, optional local nickname and avatar, challenges, badges, non-cash Growth points, a separate Care score, local reminders, optional system sharing, and an on-device supplies plan.
This release does not include a public community, messaging, live AI analysis, membership, payment, delivery, paid currency, or hardware control.
Change your nickname or avatar
Open Me → Edit profile. Enter an optional nickname, choose a Lulu avatar, or tap Upload photo to select a photo. The image is cropped from the center to a square, resized, and re-encoded as JPEG on your device. Tap Save to keep the profile or Cancel to discard the draft. If a photo cannot be prepared, choose another image under 12 MB; if saving fails, keep the editor open and retry.
Upload photo opens the system picker; it does not upload to a server. Your nickname and avatar stay in separate local profile storage, are not sent to AI, and are not automatically shared or added to plant growth cards. Editing them does not create an account, enable Apple login, or turn on cloud sync.
Growth points and Care score
Growth points are the once-per-day, non-cash reward for completing all of today’s care and a real-photo check-in. Care score is a separate, non-spendable achievement total that grows from meaningful plant-day records, fixed photo milestones, and completed challenges.
The two totals are not interchangeable. Neither can be bought, transferred, redeemed, withdrawn, exchanged for goods, or converted into money.
Camera or photo-library help
- Open iPhone Settings, find LeafLulu, and review Camera and Photos access.
- Return to Journal and deliberately choose Take photo or Choose from library.
- Make sure the device has enough free storage.
- If a draft fails, close and reopen LeafLulu, then try again.
Saved journal plant photos are copied into LeafLulu's private documents area. A saved avatar is re-encoded JPEG data in separate local profile storage. The app does not upload either to us.
Reminder help
- Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → LeafLulu and allow notifications.
- Check the reminder is enabled for the correct plant, day, and time.
- Review Focus modes and notification summaries that may delay delivery.
- After changing time zone or daylight-saving time, open the reminder settings and save again.
Reminders are scheduled by the device. They are a prompt to inspect the plant, not an instruction to water automatically.
Sharing help
LeafLulu opens the iOS system share sheet only after you tap Share. Choose a destination app or cancel. Sharing is optional and never affects Growth points already earned or Care score already recorded.
If the sheet does not appear, confirm at least one compatible destination app is available, then reopen LeafLulu and try again. We cannot see the recipient or confirm that another app published your card.
Local data, backups, and deletion
LeafLulu 1.0 has no login or developer-operated cloud copy. To remove local content, open Me → Clear all local data (including photos). This removes plants, observations, app-private plant photos, the local nickname and avatar, tasks, challenges, the supplies plan, and scheduled reminders. Only your language preference remains.
This action cannot be undone in the app. Your Apple Account or device backup may retain a separate backup according to your system settings; manage that through Apple or your device settings.
Plant-care safety
Check the actual leaves, soil moisture, drainage, light, and temperature before acting. Do not add water only to complete a task. LeafLulu cannot diagnose disease or guarantee plant survival, flowering, or harvest.
